How to write in the AI era

Simple Writing 002

It's never been harder to stand out online.

And it's also never been easier.

Why it's harder:

It's cheap, fast and easy to create content. People get lazy and copy "what works." They take low-hanging "thought leadership" and use AI to replicate it. Then technology to automate it. They hire VAs for $5 / hour to do this for them. The result? A feed of spam and more noise than ever before. This is the fight we're all up against.

Why it's easier:

The above. While it's cheap, fast and easy to create content, it's not to create good content. Interesting, insightful and authentic writing is rare. It takes intention. It takes thought. It takes some wrestling. If you're willing to put in even a little bit of effort to codifying what you've learned and experienced, you are in the top 1%.

So, what should you do about this?

Double down on authenticity.
Share what is uniquely "you."
Tell stories and be a human being.

This is how you win in the AI-era.

FYI:

This applies to “professional” writing just as much as “personal” writing.

Emails. Memos. Investor pitches. Marketing materials.

Make them sound like a human being with a soul wrote them, and you’ll outperform most.

Cheers,

Teddy
